It’s does a pretty complete job of cleaning the pool floor and side walls. Bluetooth and wireless signals seem to get lost once the unit is submerged so I’m unable to get a progress or battery status during the cleaning task.
I have a yard that is very steep. I tried using my tractor when I moved here and it was too steep. I nearly tipped over every time I tried to use it. So for the next couple of years, I paid a lawn service who had a more expensive and better mower to do it. They did not have issues like my mower did. Then I got the Luba Miini. It completes the job every bit as well as the lawn service. Over the course of this year, the cost of the Luba will be about $200 less than paying the service for the entire season. Next year, since the Luba will be paid off, I will save over $2000 dollars, and each year that it keeps working will save me the same. Since it is warranteed for three years, I should save at least $4000 over three years. This is a fantastic device.
I love how well the LUBA 3 was engineering, how easy it was to program and how well it is cutting my grass. I get a summary which includes how much electricity it used, which is hardly anything, so I'm saving lots of money on my energy consumption too which will help offset the investment over time! I no longer need to worry about cutting my grass every week and am spending my time on more enjoyable things. I definitely recommend the LUBA 3 to anyone who wants to lower their carbon footprint, save money on landscapers or buying your own gas and have their grass mowed worry free.

For current Luba 2 owners looking to upgrade to the Luba 3, skip to the end. I'll highlight the differences to keep it short for you. Prospective Mammmotion Luba owners should just go ahead and buy it. These things are amazing.
Mammmotion Luba is a well thought-out, wonderfully constructed, fully automated lawn maintainer. If you're finally looking to replace your gas guzzler that broke down a couple of weeks ago (for the third time this year), expect to need to pull out your backup mower or to hire someone at least once by the time this one arrives. It can tackle some overgrown lawns if it is sparse or thin enough. But, it's not really made for that. However, once you get your lawn in shape, this thing will do an outstanding job of keeping it that way. And, once you get your mowing map optimized, you'll only need to worry with minimal trim work, keeping your lawn clear of debris, and changing-out blades once a year. Changing blades, by the way, is so much easier then a gas mower.
App Changes, Affecting Both Luba 2 and Luba 3
The mobile app has been streamlined with improved intuitiveness, making it feel a lot more like a premium experience. Common, simple controls are moved up while less common, advanced controls are pushed back. This greatly eases the learning curve, while keeping experienced owners happy by not losing control granularity. Well, they did ditch the confusing obstacle avoidance, in favor of a more simplified two levels. It was a major pain point and difficult to remember. So, I can say that I'm not disappointed it is simplified. Mapping now has fewer steps and goes more smoothly. That is, except for reversing. It can be a frustrating readjustment. But, I think it will be better in the long run.
Changes Between Luba 2 and Luba 3
The most prominent change is the addition of LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging), which makes night-time mowing possible and supposedly improves accuracy and versatility of obstacle avoidance. My one-time experience with night-time mowing is that the obstacle avoidance is a bit overly sensitive, even at the standard setting. Expect a serious downgrade in the camera mode experience. Frames per second ( FPS) decreased from around 20 to about one or two while dropped-connection issues increased dramatically to once every 5 to 15 seconds. A reconnect button is offered, but never works. I always have to exit camera mode and re-enter it. I hope these problems get fixed soon.
The mower works great when it stays within the boundaries that were set for it. If they can fix how the mower turns around for each pass then I would have given 5 stars. The mower will not turn around in the previously mowed boundary or other passes and goes to the edge of the mowing limits and goes past virtual boundaries that were set.
Cant wait till the Luba 3 10000 is available
The machine (WALLY) is used to cut grass in a wide drainage dig and on a septic mound system. It does Ok in the dig but has a real problem on the mound. The slope in within the specs but it can seem to follow the cutting pattern and when it turns, it digs up the ground.
Very accurate navigation system. In my yard, the all-wheel drive feature is critical for traversing the "channels". There is a learning curve creating cutting areas and channels, but the new software update makes it a lot easier.

I mounted my antenna on my roof and got much better results than when i had it mounted at ground level. Clear sky and it's been working great!
This has been a game changer. Being able to regularly mow the lawn and set different tasks has been liberating. The quality of cut is even better than expected. Take the time to manually set your task area's and no go zones and it rewards you with efficiency. Overall very excited and happy with the purchase and recommending this to all my family. If this thing could trim edges I would never need to touch my acre lawn myself! Very impressed.
Sitting in the shade of my patio while watching my Luba 3 do all of the work is nice. It was easy to set up. My yard is large,irregular, and surrounded by trees. Occasionally a limb willfully on the lawn. The Luba usually just drives around it. Once it tried to drive over it and got stuck. No issues, themower automatically turn itself off and sends a message to my phone. I just lifted it off and set it down, moved the limb and restarted the task. It continued where it left off.
Some times I like to mow at night. The mower automatically turns on it's headlights at dusk and mows as well as during the day. It is very quiet, so night mowing really can't be heard even with the windows open.
My yard is too bid for mowing on a single charge. Again, no problem. The mower mows until the battery is down to 10% and automatically returns to the charger and resumes the task after charging, day or night.
I also like the fact that there aren't any visible clippings. Maybe that is because I mow a lot more now than I used to when I used a walk-behind mower.
Love it so far. Easy set up. Doing a great job.
I've had several robo-mowers from different clients. Navigation was always the weakness, and RTK was the flaw. LIDAR makes all the difference. My LUBA 3 never gets lost, or misses spots, or gets stuck. It's been flawless. Now Mammotion just needs to improve the app's area customization features a bit.
The Luba 3 AWD 5000 is an excellent maching and a great buy! The support is equally excellent!

Although the first cut leaves sprigs, using a grid setting makes a world of difference. I wish the range of cutting height was broader. Otherwise a great yard helper!
