Very happy

The rtk and GPS positioning works better than other robot mowers. The app works most of the time, however there are some strange wording in mapping functions that looks like it was lost in translation. Mower performs as advertised. My backyard is not flat and has no issue traversing.

Great solution for a problem lawn

The Luba Mini 1500 is our second robotic lawn mower. The first, from a different provider, was a random pattern mower with perimeter wire. As the summer progressed, the need for a perimeter wire to find its way back to the base station resulted in 30 inch paths of dirt at the edge of the lawn where the machine got stuck up to 3 times daily.

The Luba Mini (we call her Madeline Mower) a huge relief. Four wheel drive, easy mapping, ability to turn off perimeter mowing while the damaged edge heals, and big zag adjustability have resulted in "no-problem" lawn maintenance so far.

Mostly Great

I’ve been using this robot for a couple weeks now and overall it’s pretty good and it’s been a lot of fun to tinker with. However, there have been some quirks. It doesn’t more close enough to fences or objects and I have to go back and manually mow. I set boundaries and it still seems to back out of them and get stuck, but I can normally remote control it out. When turning around it tends to tear up the grass, even in multi turn mode. The front steering could be much better. I’d you don’t have perfect GPS it can fail to drive where it is supposed to, it really needs to rely more on vision. Overall I expect it will get better with time. I have had any serious issues and everyone that drives by has to do a double take and thinks it’s so cool.

Great on hills

I specifically bought this over other mowers because of its claims to handle hilly areas. I have a large property with a big berm. It is roughly 100 yards long and 20 yards wide with hill ranging from 20 to 40 degrees. Much too steep for my zero turn and a pain to mow by hand (which I have been doing for years). I'm happy to report that it handles these steep grades with no issues. Setup was relatively easy and the RTK signal is strong even across a 3 acre plot of land. I'm starting to set it up on other zones in the yard just because it is so easy to use. Time will tell if I run into any reliability issues but, so far, it is really robust. Note - the hill in the video is about 20 degrees and the other side has variable grades that are even greater. So far, it has handled like a champ!

Luba 2 1000 AWD

I will start out by saying that I had a Luba 1 1000 AWD for over 2 years. I start experiencing charging problems. As it was in it's second year of the 3 year warranty, the technical support team did everything up to the point of replacing it with a newer generation mower. That was the Luba 2 1000 AWD. Once we got it working it was better than the first one. I only wish I had bought a Luba 2 3000 AWD so it would cover more land. Otherwise it is a great machine. I highly recomend it to anyone like me who is handycapped and cannot do very much walking at one time.

Easy set up

The mower has been working in Ohio for about 2 weeks now. So far it has worked fine. A couple little user errors. But overall the set was easy. Comes almost fully in tact. The tools you need are included. The mower is currently being used on about 2 acres. Just schedule different areas and days to get everything covered.

So far OK

This mower does save me time. My lawn looks great without me having to spend a lot of time mowing. I did not really expect much from a robot mower so I am pleasantly surprised.setting up the mowing zones did take a few hours and then over the coarse of the first few mowings a couple hours going out and re mapping some edges and no-go zones that were causing issues, but once the bugs are worked out it is fairly hands free with the occasional hiccup. The negatives for me are probably mostly my lack of teck smarts. First I have not been able to share its control with my wife's phone for when I am out of town they make it sound easy which it probably is for some one who builds robots but I have not been able to figure it out yet. When I call for help they are not capable of dumbing down there teck talk to my level the best they can do is the equivalent of "did you plug it in" The second issue I have is it's almost too precise it makes its turns in the same spot the same way every time so unless you go into the app and change it's path spacing of mowing angle it digs holes where it makes its turns. And my last issue is they programed into it to only be allowed to map the square footage for the sized mower you bought. If your lawn is slightly larger you just out if luck and going to have a piece of unmowed lawn. To me that just seems overboard on the sales side requiring you to pay almost twice an much for a mower to mow just a little bit more. All in all it does save me a lot of time if it actually lasts more than 3 years it will have been worth it to me.

Luba 2

Great robot. App mildly not intuitive but doesn’t take long to learn either. Like the fpv function snd manual cut, almost like a game. Had Husqvarna before, would grt stuck on some bigger drops, this one so far so good. No getting stuck.

Amazing robo mower!

Love this mower! The time it has saved me mowing the lawn is invaluable. Not to mention no more maintenance on the lawn mowers engine. The app is also very easy to use. It allows you to easily change the cutting height, patterns in the grass and so much more! I highly recommend this mower!

Fantastic Automated Mower

After two summers with my Luba 2, I can confidently say it’s exceeded my expectations. It handles everything I need with ease, and the customer support has been phenomenal. They are always quick to respond and incredibly helpful. Best of all, it’s freed up a ton of my time, letting me focus on other things I enjoy. Truly a game-changer.

New owner of a law robot

I have had my new Luba 2 AWD H for about a month now. We have a complex multi-level yard with some steeper parts a bunch of no-go zones around tree wells. I have mapped everything and their is a learning curve as with everything tech oriented but the more we run it the robot seems to get better and I guess we do too with his settings. I definitely recommend customizing the angle of the zig zag to move perpendicular to the slope of the yard. When he cuts parallel he seems to slide downhill a bit. We are still playing with the best cutting height and frequency. We have had some issues with it pausing and not restarting and it isnt always clear what the issue is. May need to set the obstacle avoidance to standard instead of sensitive. That may be why he sometimes stops at the bottom of a ramp I built for it to move from one task area to the next.
Overall this is an impressive machine and I'm looking forward to having more time to make adjustments and tweek his settings.
Most importantly the customer service has been responsive to questions and I'm sure I will have more as I learn and figure this out!

Quick Setup!

I just bought this as my first robo lawn mower and it was a quick setup! There aren't paper instructions in the box, so be mindful of that - but great videos about how to set it up and the app guides you. It's a very sleek and easy to maneuver machine for a newbie like me!

Works better than expected

This little mower is one tough robot. I have a “hell hill” that is steep (35 to 40 degrees) and it is full of ruts. I have never mowed this hill because it is so steep, in fact I have slipped on the wet grass and rolled down it. (In the winter I slipped and slid down it a couple of times too LOL.) I had been looking at robot mowers for long while and after I sprayed grass/weed killer on one part of the hill which had 11/2’ weeds, that was a mistake it really looked bad so, I decided to buy the 800H.
The instructions are a bit vague, which caused a little learning curve. But with a few trials and errors I created my mowing areas and channels back to the charging station. The only real problem I had was at setup. The robot mower updated its firmware with no problems, BUT the RTK didn’t, which caused some problems with the navigation till suddenly my phone said that the RTK was updating, which solved all of the navigational problems. So, my advice to everyone, make sure both firmwares are updated before you try anything. Also, on hills do not let the robot set “optimal” cutting angle which is always lengthwise. Those front wheels slip when going sideways on a hill and the mower struggles to maintain a course. Change the “cutting angle” so the robot goes straight up and down the hill which works much better, believe me it can climb hills.
As for my opinion, if you are older (and/or) have bad knees, this Luba mini 800H is a game changer. Not only is it fun to operate but I have been amazed by how smart it is. I have seen it get seemly stuck and stop, then it figures its way out of the problem. Which is great because I can no longer walk down that “hell hill” safely, which is another thing, the instructions say, “stay close and walk behind it while mapping the area perimeter,” I sat at the top of the hell hill, and the robot was about 30 feet below… I never lost signal, and I completely out lined the “hell hill’s” area. And yes, if I had normal yard, I would still buy it because I hate mowing grass. My “hell hill” really looks great for the first time since I bought this property. LOL.
Note: I purchased my 800H through Home Depot because they gave me a 10% military discount

New user - Happy so far!

I got my new Luba setup and mapped 6 areas on my somewhat complex lawn. My main reason for getting it was the steep slopes. I got the 5000H series and the total mapped area shows 0.6 acres on my Luba app (I had estimated a higher number). I'm happy so far and am continuing to learn. A few bullet points of random observations...good and "meh":
- the cut isn't as clean as I was hoping, especially for longer grass. I'm hoping this will improve as I mow more frequently and won't have to encounter taller grass
- the Luba will struggle a bit in lo0se soil on an incline. This is not unexpected.
- the app is way too optimistic on estimating the time required once you start a task. The Luba engineers should look at this and make reasonable adjustments.
- The app is fairly straightforward and intuitive to use. There's a couple of areas where it is slightly confusing. It also seems like I should be able to create an overall Task that is comprised of different individual Tasks.
- My RTK setup is on the corner eve of an outside pavilion. It is only about 10 ft (?) off the ground. However, so far, it seems to work well and the satellite counts are over 20.
- My recharge station is slightly under a pavilion and I "carved out" a little park area in a slatted wall. I also built a small awning for it.

I am still learning, but wanted to provide some initial feedback for others considering Luba. I read a bunch of reviews and watched Youtube videos before deciding to take the plunge. At this point, I think I will be happy I did.

Great quality for the best value

Everything has been perfect to me so far. The only thing I dont like is you have to hand-carry the robot from your front yard to the backyard. The ads said the robot can reposition itself but the instructions said otherwise.

Love my Luba

I upgraded to a Luba 2 from my Landroid M. Wow! What a difference! Luba 2 took about an hour to set up and she has mowed my lawn 7 times so far without getting stuck, without creating ruts, and left beautiful straight lines in the grass. Even though the recommendation to clean the blades is monthly, I’ve been giving them a quick brush off after every mow. My yard looks beautiful. I couldn’t be happier.
