Luba 2 AWD 3000 H version review

After 1 week the mower works quite well. I think the app could be improved a bit more to be more user friendly but I'm learning to work with it. I am quite impressed that the RTK antenna works well placed with the Luba garage just off our deck in the backyard and that the house does not interfere with the mowers ability to mow the front or side yards.

So far, very pleased.

I have had my Luba 2 AWD 3000 XH unit for about a month. I have two lawns mapped and the unit cuts them very well. This thing makes the straightest cut paths I've ever seen. Really neat. Last cut I went 45 degrees and next cut I'll do 135 degrees to have a neat checker board pattern.
So far, I'm manually instructing unit to go cut a lawn and I spend my next minutes picking up little twigs and sticks to keep blades sharp. I weed eat every two weeks. My lot is .85 acre and have a large house and driveway.

Awesome bit of tech for a great price. So far, so cool!

I've had to pay a yard guy for the past several years due to some back issues. This season, I did the math and realized the Yuka would pay for itself in about four and a half months based on what I was paying the yard company. So, being a big fan of robot vacuums, I decided it was time to take a chance on the current generation of mowers.

I received my Yuka 1000 last week and set it up this weekend. The instructions for how to get up and running weren't as clear as I hoped, so I recommend watching some YouTube tutorials before you start. Once I got clear on the details I was missing (through YouTube and the Reddit group), things got a lot smoother.

I was disappointed that iNavi is not available in the US yet, but the 4G connection and RTK station are both working well (once I moved the RTK up to my roofline). Be prepared to create your maps a few times, though. It took some trial and error to find the best place to put my RTK station to prevent lost connections between it and the mower mid-task.

All that aside, I now have my Yuka, named "RoboMow," set up and managing my 1/2-acre lot (about 1,200 sqft of grass area), and it's going well. It's definitely cool to look out my window and see him out there cutting the grass all by himself!

I love this little guy this little Luba I should I say 40 lb little bit is absolutely perfect Has a Glitch here and there and I think it's because of my satellite antenna but 99% of time it it's flawless I definitely recommend it saves me a lot of time usually takes me two and a half hours when I cut my grass now all I have to do is go out to a little edging here and there I've had it for like 2 months now and I use it at least two times a week if not more depends on how much it rains can't say enough about it what's your time worth that's all I'll say

Great Product!

This is my first robotic lawn mower and I couldn't be happier! Assembly was super easy, setting everything up was easy, and programming my yard was super easy! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Robot is good customer service is the worst

The robot itself performs well, but the customer service is extremely disappointing. I regret buying this product solely because of the poor support experience. It takes weeks just to get a response regarding an order status. Calling their support line is frustrating—no one answers, and the call often gets disconnected. I expected much better service for such a high-end product

I can’t believe this

I was apprehensive about spending the money on this but I must say it’s the best investment I’ve made in awhile. I’m not the green thumb, cut grass for the exercise type person. This mower is so accurate and the lines it makes are beautiful. Highly Recommended for those who hate cutting, health issues, on the go a lot, workaholics, techies and of course anyone trying to pass up the Jones

Time Saver

I was a little skeptical when looking into robot lawn mowers, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how well this product performs. The cut is excellent and the setup is easy.

It's a Beast!

My lawn has several steep hills and tricky spots that my previous robot mower struggled with and would get stuck. The Luba 2 3000S so far is having no issues. The random mowing angle is a great feature to avoid lawn damage.

Yuka Mini 800 H - Mowing in Southern Ontario

It arrived quickly and unpacking the Yuka Mini was simple.

I didn't watch tutorials, nor read the manual, so initial setup meant I put both the RTK antenna and the charging pad in the wrong location for my lawns. After moving the RTK to an open area, and the charging dock to a better (open sky) location I mapped my yard, created no-go zones, and set the mower free.

Again, didn't read the manual, so I didn't realize that setting it to cut the "Perimeter" meant that it would actually overlap outside of the mapped area by at least half a body width. Lesson learned - remapped with the proper amount of space between the Yuka and the edge of my lawn, borders, walls, fences, and no-go zones.
Third times a charm? Yes, it is!

"Kevin", named due to his model/serial number, does an amazing job of cross-hatching the back lawn. Even my OCD landscaping family members have found my yard impressive. I have an inordinate amount of curved garden space, pool, and trees and he cuts correctly around it all. There's even minimal trimming necessary.

After "mastering" the backyard we moved on to the side and front yards. Trial and error again as I mapped too close to certain walls and flower beds. I found it easier to break the yards into smaller zones so I could modify and fix them faster. In this manner the front yard, with only one tree and garden, was its own zone and single setup. The side yards, not between houses, were open and their own zones, and then the area between the houses were separate zones. That way, if Kevin went rogue in one area I could quickly figure out the zone mapping issue and modify it without having to remap everything.

I ended up with six zones for my lawn, but it isn't an issue since I just set a task to mow Area 2-6 and Kevin happily does the front yard in sequence.

There's certainly a learning curve, and setup should be expected to need to be tweaked (several times) but if you're patient and take the time to get it right you'll be quite happy with the outcome.

The downside to all of this is that my neighbours are wondering if I can include their lawns in Kevin's mowing cycle (yes, they refer to him by name too). So far I've been able to laugh it off, but I'm quite sure they're serious.

Excellent First Month

Setup: After reading other reviews, where some had issues with setup, I carefully followed the instructions on unpacking and setting up my new Luba2, and experienced no problems what so ever. The front bumper sensor was a little tricky on getting the screws in and tightened, but after slowing down, and taking my time, getting the bumper installed went smoothly.

First month use: 100% success so far. The robot is working as intended, and is cutting the grass exactly how I programmed the cutting zones. I really like the fire-and-forget aspect of the product, basically giving me 2-3hrs of my time back multiple times a week during the high growing season.

I haven't tried it during a rainstorm, nor have I tackled a really steep hill in my backyard, that's next on my list.

Overall, so far, so good.

Happy with my Luna 2

I got my Luba 2 last weekend. Installation turned out to be very easy - the most difficult part is to find the instruction. The QR code in the box dis not take me to the user guide. I had to google one.

Once located the guide, I was able to get the first area setup and started right away. I did tweak and experiment a bit with mapping the areas. But so far it worked great. It is truly automatic. It recharged itself, run on schedule, knew to skip jobs when it was raining. The best part is that it handled the steep slopes in my back yard fairly well. I am very happy with my Luba 2.

Tremendous Time Saver

Thoroughly impressed with this machine. Packaging is great, instructions are solid. Once you get the GPS antenna properly mounted, it's amazing how well this works. I wish I had purchased one sooner. One point of advice: I do recommend going up one size in battery. I have a smaller yard, and it should've been well within range, but it still needs to charge halfway through.

Luba Mini 1500 S

Performs exceptionally well. I used the Husqvarna 430X for seven years—while effective, it required frequent maintenance, often getting stuck on slopes and edges, and locating breaks in the underground wire was challenging. In contrast, the Luba’s AWD handles slopes effortlessly, and setup is much simpler with no need to reposition boundary wires.

Mostly good

I would have given 5 stars but it struggles with a very mild slope.
