This little mower is one tough robot. I have a “hell hill” that is steep (35 to 40 degrees) and it is full of ruts. I have never mowed this hill because it is so steep, in fact I have slipped on the wet grass and rolled down it. (In the winter I slipped and slid down it a couple of times too LOL.) I had been looking at robot mowers for long while and after I sprayed grass/weed killer on one part of the hill which had 11/2’ weeds, that was a mistake it really looked bad so, I decided to buy the 800H.
The instructions are a bit vague, which caused a little learning curve. But with a few trials and errors I created my mowing areas and channels back to the charging station. The only real problem I had was at setup. The robot mower updated its firmware with no problems, BUT the RTK didn’t, which caused some problems with the navigation till suddenly my phone said that the RTK was updating, which solved all of the navigational problems. So, my advice to everyone, make sure both firmwares are updated before you try anything. Also, on hills do not let the robot set “optimal” cutting angle which is always lengthwise. Those front wheels slip when going sideways on a hill and the mower struggles to maintain a course. Change the “cutting angle” so the robot goes straight up and down the hill which works much better, believe me it can climb hills.
As for my opinion, if you are older (and/or) have bad knees, this Luba mini 800H is a game changer. Not only is it fun to operate but I have been amazed by how smart it is. I have seen it get seemly stuck and stop, then it figures its way out of the problem. Which is great because I can no longer walk down that “hell hill” safely, which is another thing, the instructions say, “stay close and walk behind it while mapping the area perimeter,” I sat at the top of the hell hill, and the robot was about 30 feet below… I never lost signal, and I completely out lined the “hell hill’s” area. And yes, if I had normal yard, I would still buy it because I hate mowing grass. My “hell hill” really looks great for the first time since I bought this property. LOL.

Everything has been perfect to me so far. The only thing I dont like is you have to hand-carry the robot from your front yard to the backyard. The ads said the robot can reposition itself but the instructions said otherwise.

My Luba Mini is mowing the ditches in front of my house with no issues. It save me a lot of hard work.

Setup was easy and the consistency and time saved are huge wins. Highly recommend.

What can I say! This little guy has a big personality. He had literally changed my life in the little time that I’ve had him. Like the title states. Less yard work more pool time, and also WIFE approved.
